10 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO

It feels so good to sit back and relax after working all day.
But, how do you feel to do nothing but only sitting back and relaxing all the time?

BORED!.. Right?

Even if you are the laziest person, there will come a point when you will feel pretty exhausted of all that good relaxing.

Especially during these times when we all are just stuck at home and not able to function the normal way.

Before we start.. checkout my other blogs..

So, here are some ideas that might help you feel productive even when you feel like you've got nothing to do.
Keeping in mind that there might be many of you who are as lazy as me, try to do atleast 3 things every day so that you feel satisfied after you get those tasks done and you get that good feeling of relaxing after that.

10 IDEAS TO DO WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO DO

1. to-do's
Start your day with listing what are you willing to do today!
Make it a habit to note down your tasks and important things so that it boosts up your productivity.
I know this is not a "thing to do" but making it a habit will improve your productivity in future too.
So just start the day with listing what you want to do and if there are some important things to remember.
After getting every task done, that inner satisfaction you feel would be just so good trust me!

2. workout
We all know the benefits of working out, so if you've got so much of free time, why not give your body 20 to 30 minutes of a great workout!
You might not be a workout person but at least you can give it a try as non of your time is being wasted.
Exercising is not compulsory, workout as you like. Yoga, pilates, Zumba, cardio, dance, anything that you feel happy doing.

3. cook and eat
Cooking for yourself is fun! It might not end up well sometimes but you will like it.
If you love cooking, just try making great dishes and enjoy.
Even if you are not good at it, make it a pact to cook at least one meal or one dish everyday.
Try new recipes and get innovative with your cooking.
Enjoy!

4. one task - one day rule
Plan the upcoming week or month with just getting one thing done every day.
For example..
Monday - I will learn a new dance choreo
Tuesday - I will bake
Wednesday - kitchen cleaning
That's it! Plan your week and enjoy doing something new every day!

5. Organise
That's not something that sounds fun.. I know!
But isn't it a great time for you to neat your space up?
It does not mean that you have to organise your house, it's more about your space.
Your wardrobe, dressing table, working area, studying space, etc.
Doing this will get you 3 prizes..
  • your space will neat up
  • you got productive and did something instead of relaxing
  •  ahh! the satisfaction after getting your task done
6. Set up a "me" area
This might be fun to you if you wanted to decorate your space.
Again.. not the whole house, just your space. The place where you feel close to yourself.
Try decorating it with some good DIY's or add few things you bought but never used and finally feel good in your own "me" area.

7. Get creative
Creativity has no boundaries. Try doing some easy DIY's, hacks, draw, paint, experiment, etc..
You might even not know how creative you are, so surprise yourself with your hidden talents.
Gift your loved ones your creative masterpiece or decorate your house with showing off your talent :)

8. keep it - drop it
There are many things in your house that you never use. You still have those things and all it does is taking up space. You might even shock yourself after knowing that how much empty space you get once you get rid of those unwanted stuff.
All you have to do is "declutter".
For example..
If you want to organise your wardrobe.. Just get everything down  and make a pile of all your cloths.
Now just start picking each cloth and decide whether you need it or not. There is no in between, just decide that you want to keep it or drop it. Once the decluttering is done, organise the clothes you want to keep and box up the ones you want to get rid of.

9. Try something you always wanted to try
There is always one thing that we think about like "if I had time would have tried it".
Well.. this is the time!
Try doing it. It might be anything from learning dance to cutting your own hair or making funny videos or showing off your makeup skills.
Anything you wanted to do.. you've got a lot of time..
Do it!

10. learn
This doesn't specifically imply on your school education or reading books.
You can learn a lot if you want.
For example..
  • learn speaking a new language
  • singing / dancing
  • a new word every day
  • reading qoutes
  • knowing about diversity in cultures
  • watching historical movies
  • documentaries
  • appreciating cinematic masterpieces
  • listening to motivational podcasts and speeches
These are just few examples of how you can educate yourself without even feeling like you are learning.

There are a lot more things to do when you have nothing to do, but these were the most simple yet productive things and ideas that I thought might save you from being bored.
