How to deal with stress and overthinking


We mostly stress about some due work that needs to be done ASAP or study related stress, family issues, relationship problems, money related problems or anything that I have probably not mentioned.
Stress is a common thing guys. Honestly, everyone has to face stress at some point and so its not a much big of an issue. But, stressing just more than usual may affect mental health.

Same goes for overthinking. Over doing anything is not good even over thinking.
If you think about something again and again and start imagining the worst of that situation you are OVERTHINKING!!!

Just give this a thought-
"Stop stressing over some thing for more than 5 minutes that's not gonna matter in the next 5 years."

1. BE AWARE AS SOON AS YOU START STRESSING OR OVERTHINKING

There is a line between you trying to figure out solution and when you start stressing. The moment you feel a little more tensed and you cannot think of anything else and that stuff is stuck to your head, you are stressing or overthinking.

2. BREATHE 

As soon as you feel you are stressing or overthinking, take a deep breath and drink some water. For just 2 minutes stay quiet and feel yourself breathing.

3. THINK OF ALL THAT CAN GO RIGHT INSTEAD OF WRONG

If you are an overthinker, try thinking about all the positive results. I know you may be thinking, what if there is nothing that's gonna go right? But, it is necessary to send some positive thoughts in your mind because it will not let your mind fear that only negative things can happen to you.

4. THINK ABOUT IT IN A BIGGER PICTURE 

If you keep stressing or overthinking about every little thing that goes wrong or may go wrong, this is the best way to keep your mind calm.
 Ask your self - "IS THIS STUFF GONNA MATTER TO ME IN THE FUTURE? IF NO, THE WHY AM I STRESSING OVER IT? IS THIS WORTH DISTURBING MY MENTAL HEALTH?"
There are many other things in your life that need your attention, so just work on that instead of messing up things more and more in your head.

5. DONT LET FEAR COVER YOU

If you are stressing or overthinking just because you failed the previous time or something went terribly wrong in the past, you are letting your fear cover you. Just because it went wrong the last time that doesn't mean you will end up the same way. Every trial has a different outcome. You have to start again without letting your fear takeover your mental health and stopping you from heading towards a new beginning.

6. HAVE FUN

When you get stressed about something, just leave whatever you are doing and go out in fresh air, watch some fun series, play with your pet, hangout with friends, have your favorite food or anything that makes you happy and calm.

7. MEDITATE

I don't think I must explain you about this point. You must sit in a quiet place, close your eyes and breathe. Just mediate. It helps you stay calm. relaxes your brain and helps you get all that garbage out of your mind and lets you think without overstressing your mind.

8. YOU CANT CONTROL WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN (REALIZE)

You can't just predict your future. You can't even change it. You just have the power to think of some solutions or positive things to your issues. We all know this, RIGHT!! So relax and explain this to your mind that, why are you ruining your present worrying about the future. 

These are just some ways to deal with stress and overthinking. You must just let yourself breathe and accept things that come to you weather good or bad. You cant really control everything, you must explain it to your self that you did your best, so no matter what the result is you are not putting my yourself down. Never think that you are not good enough.

Also, overthinking and stress is something very common, so don't think that you are the only one trying to deal with it. You just need to breathe and know which way is effective for you to distract AND/OR deal with stress and overthinking.
